Orville Lee Taylor

Orville Lee Taylor, 82, Clever, formerly of Pleasant Hope, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 in his home, after a long illness. He was born on May 17, 1938 in Hepler, Kan., to Orville Irie and Elizabeth Adline (Winterbower) Taylor. Lee was a longtime member of the Pleasant Hope Fundamental Baptist Church, he was recently attending Clever First Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of the Dayco Corporation, after 20 years of service. He was also an avid collector of many things.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Linda Lee McNeely, his son, David Irie Taylor, and his brother, Melvin Taylor. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Fergerson) Taylor, daughter Marney Wells and her husband, Robert, two sons and their wives: Richard Taylor and Deritha, and Paul Taylor and Janet, 13-grandchildren, 28-great-grandchildren, and two great- great-grandchildren, two sisters: Shirley Snider and Donna Thompson and her husband Sam, and two brothers: Lester and Tim Taylor.
Graveside services were at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at the Pleasant Hope cemetery, with Pastor Jump officiating. Visitation was Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to any local Christian group of your choice.
