Patricia Maude Johnson

Patricia Maude (Tilley) Johnson, 82, of Clever, passed away Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019. She was born June 12, 1937, in Plato, the daughter of Woodford Leroy and Grace (Lucke) Tilley. She graduated from Plato High School and Southwest Missouri State College (SMS).
Johnson was married to Jerry Routh for 17 years. She taught school for several years, mostly fifth and sixth graders at several area schools including Stout-
land, Hallsville, and Republic. She married James (Jim) Johnson before she retired from teaching, and they moved to the Clever area to enjoy simple country farm life.
Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Woodford Leroy Jr., nephew, Jay Johnson, stepson, James Jr., and her husband, Jim, of 39 years.
She is survived by three daughters, Lekea (Routh) Durr and Genea (Routh) Carson of Springfield, and Sarita (Johnson) Burk and her husband, Michael, of Marionville. She is also survived by her two sisters, Irene (Tilley) Cowles and her husband, David, of Catoosa, Okla., and Ruthann (Tilley) Johnson and her husband, Chub, of Rogersville. Other survivors include stepson, Mark Johnson and his wife, Pat, of Houston, Texas, stepdaughter, Christa (Johnson) Pizzuti of Wichita, Kan., stepdaughter-in-law, Kathy Johnson of Spring- field, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A memorial is planned for a later date. Arrange- ments are under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora.
