Peggy “Peg” Stanfield

Peggy “Peg” Stanfield, of Republic passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022. She was born Oct. 9, 1948, in Kankakee, Ill. to Robert and Lois (Lezotte) Glassford.
Stanfield graduated from Kankakee High School with the class of 1966. She married Ronald Dean Stanfield and they shared 47 wonderful years until his passing in 2013. They had four children, Todd, Yvonne, Ron Jr. and Sarah.
Stanfield was a member of First United Methodist Church of Marionville and after relocating to Republic, she became a member of Hood United Methodist Church. She worked in the claims departments at the Aurora Wal-Mart for over 30 years.
Stanfield was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ronald, and her stepfather Jerry Allee.
Stanfield is survived by her children, Todd Stanfield, Yvonne Clark, Ron Stanfield, Jr. and his wife Tilesha and Sarah Tauai and husband Chris, 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings Karen (Jay) Beretoles, Mark (Diane) Glassford, stepmother Julie Glassford, stepbrothers Bob Lezotte, John (Paula) Lezotte and Larry (Kim) Lezotte, brother and sister-in-law Russell (Evaine) Stanfield, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org/donate) or Hood United Methodist Church.
A visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic. Funeral services were Friday, April 22, 2022, at Hood United Methodist Church with burial following at Evergreen Cemetery in Republic.
