Pirate footballers shut out by host Stockton; lack of offense dooms visitors

The Ash Grove football team traveled to Stockton on Friday, Sept. 6, and came home with an 18-0 loss for their trouble.
No statistics were made available for this game by the coaching staff of the team.
With the loss, the Pirates fell to sixth place in the Class 1, District 2 standings with 32 points. Cabool and Thayer are tied for first with 58 points each; Miller is in third place with 53 points, Pierce City is in fourth place with 48 points, Marionville is in fifth place with 32 points, Sarcoxie is in seventh place with 19.5 points and Dia- mond brings up the rear with 12 points.
Ash Grove will travel to Pleasant Hope this Friday night to take on another squad of Pirates.
