Republic Lady Tigers split two games in COC league play

The Republic girls basketball team split two conference games last week, losing to Willard before rebounding for a blowout win against Joplin. Both games were on the road.
Against Willard, Republic’s shooting went cold in a 53-46 loss. Republic made just three three-point field goals after making 13 in their previous game against Jefferson City. Kaemyn Bekemeier was the lone exception. The freshman finished with 28 points to lead all scorers.

At Joplin, Republic forced 29 turnovers, including 22 in the first half. The Lady Tigers allowed just nine points in the first half on their way to a 69-20 win. Jade Kirby led Republic with 16 points. Ten different players scored for Republic
