Robert Thomas Anderson

Robert “Tom” Thomas Anderson, 67, of Ash Grove, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019.
Tom, the son of Robert L. and Ruby L. (Spidle) Anderson, was born in Lawson, on Nov. 11, 1951. Tom and Katie (Deer) Anderson were united in marriage on
June 2, 1973. They shared over 45 years together.
Anderson was a devoted and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a fine example of the fruit of the spirit: loving, kind, patient. He was loyal to a fault and was always fair. Anderson was always working and he used his hard work to show his love for God and for others. Above all, he adored his family, he especially loved his children and grandchildren.
Anderson is survived by his wife Katie Anderson, of the home; children Heidi Michaelis and husband Seth of Fair Play, Eddie Anderson and wife Meagan of Kansas City; grandchildren Samantha Michaelis, Hannah Michaelis, Parker Anderson; mother, Ruby Anderson; sister Nancy Danner both of Excelsior Springs; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
Anderson was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation was Sunday, Feb. 24, 2019, from 1 p.m. until service time at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Funeral services began at 2:30 p.m., at the funeral home with burial following at Sinking Creek Cemetery, Everton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Everton Community Church Building Fund and may be left at the funeral home.
