Roy E. Leer

Roy E. Leer, 92, Ash Grove, formerly of Kansas City, passed away July 21, 2021 at his home in Ash Grove.
Leer was born May 16, 1929 in Nevada, Mo., to Bert Nelson and Frederick Ann Klumpp Leer.
Leer worked as a truck driver in Kansas City before moving to Ash Grove in 1977 where he worked for International Harvester. He was also a mechanic in Springfield.
Leer married Margery (Rhoads) Leer March 19, 1950.
Leer was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three grandsons, Dale, Rodney and Christopher, four brothers Wilbert, Cecil, Harvey and Arthur, and sisters Mary and Ella.
Leer is survived by his children Pam, of Springfield, Wayne, of Kansas City, three granddaughters, and six great-grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday, July 27, at Birch Funeral Home with cremation following.
