RUTH ELIZABETH GIDDENS

Ruth Elizabeth Giddens, 92, passed from this life Friday, March 31, 2023. Giddens was born Sept. 2, 1930, in Riviera Beach, Fla. and was a member of First Christian Church, Republic.
Giddens was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Alice Sands, her husband Ernest Giddens, and her loving daughter JoEllen Giddens. Giddens was the last survivor of 13 siblings born to Charles and Alice.
Giddens is survived by daughter Barbara Giddens, Springfield; son Ernie Giddens and wife, Louann (whom she loved like a daughter); two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, all of Republic.
Giddens worked at Redneck Trailer Supplies, retiring twice.
A visitation for Giddens was at 10 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2023, Meadors Funeral Home. A graveside service followed at 11:30 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery.
