Smith scores

1,000th point in win at Branson Republic’s Broc Smith went over 1,000 points in his career during the Tigers’ 61– 50 win at Branson. He scored 13 points and needed 11 to hit the milestone.
“I figured it was coming,” Smith said of the scoring milestone, “but what I was focused on was getting a win after losing three straight. We had a bad taste in our mouth, and that’s mainly what I was focused on, whether I scored two points or 20 points, I just wanted to ... help our team win, and that’s what we did. I think we did a great job.”
Smith will continue his basketball career at Drury Univer- sity next season.
