TERRENCE “TERRY” FRANK WOOLF
Terrence “Terry” Frank Woolf, 69, of Republic passed away at his home, with his family by his side on Tuesday, Sept. 12. He was born on Jan. 24, 1954, in Salem, he was the third of four children, and the first son born to Frank and Frieda (Gaston) Woolf.
He graduated from Salem High School with the class of 1972 and went on to attend college, receiving his Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Computer Science from SMU. He worked as a professor at SMU, teaching computer science and drove a semi-truck for Zenith for many years, until the company relocated. Terry was quite an entrepreneur; he held a real estate license as well as a pilot’s license.
In March of 2008 he married Vanessa Farris and they shared 15 years together.
He is survived by his wife, Vanessa; daughter, Ginger Woolf; siblings, Brenda (Werner) Cottrill and Greg (Julie) Woolf; two grandsons; one great-grandson; as well as other extended family and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sonya Schultz; a grandson, Austin Powers; and his four-legged buddy, Snickers.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic with burial to follow in Lindsey Cemetery.
