Violet Marie Hursh

Funeral services for Violet Marie Hursh, 78, of Branson were at 2 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2022 at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson with pastor Bobby Fausett officiating. Burial followed in the Yocum Pond Cemetery at Reeds Spring. She passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at her home.
Hursh was born on Aug. 2, 1943 in Reeds Spring, the daughter of Fred William Hammers and Mayme Ann Warren. She was a lifelong resident of the area. She was the former owner of The Shack in downtown Branson where she had worked for many years before becoming the owner. She was well known for her cooking. She was a member of the Hilltop Church of God in Kirbyville.

Hursh was united in marriage to Billy Hursh on May 16, 1959 in Galena, and to this union was born two daughters.
Survivors are her husband Billy Hursh, of the home in Branson; daughters Diana Lynn Smith (Brian C) of Republic; and Ronda Gwynn Hursh-Plaster of Branson; brother William Hammers of Springfield, three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Hursh was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings; Shirley Keithley and Manuel Hammers.
Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to: The National Pancreas Foundation.org.
