Walter Charles (W.C.) Simpson

Walter Charles (W.C.) Simpson, 99, of Billings, passed away Nov. 24, 2019 at The Ozarks Methodist Manor, Marionville. Simpson was born July 29, 1920 in Elmore City, Okla. to Charles Edward and Ira Belle (Thomas) Simpson.
Simpson served his country in World War II in the United States Army, he served overseas and was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon, the Army of Occupation Ribbon- Japan and additional service ribbons and bars. He worked for Syntex Chemical in Verona. In his younger years, he was also an oil field worker in Oklahoma.
Simpson married Helen Goodson on Aug. 20, 1941, she preceded him in death along with their daughter; Linda Sue Richey, son-in-law; Bill Richey, four broth- ers; four sisters and his parents.
He is survived by two sons; Kenny Simpson (Phyl- lis), of California and Danny Simpson (Cheri) of New Mexico, one daughter; Rebecca DeLong (David) of Billings, six grandchildren; one sister; Jean Walker of Texas, and many special extended family members and countless friends.
Visitation was in Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019 from 2-4 p.m.
Simpson’s graveside service was Monday, Dec. 2, 2019 at 10 a.m. in Paoli Cemetery in Paoli, Okla., Simpson’s family is being served by Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home in Oklahoma.
