WENDELEN "DIAN" DEROSSETT

Wendelen “Dian” DeRossett, 68, passed away on Monday, Feb. 13, surrounded by her loved ones in her home after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Granite City, Ill. on Aug. 2, 1954, to Coyne Wendell Forshee and Barbara Jean (Coble) Forshee.
She married the love of her life, William Leonard DeRossett, on Aug. 25, 1972, at Rose Hill Baptist Church in Willard, and they enjoyed 49 wonderful years together before his passing on Dec. 29, 2021. She and Len will be spending this Valentine’s Day together in heaven.
She was employed at Willard Schools and was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church for 60+ years. She taught children’s Sunday School classes, Children’s Church and Bible School for many years. Her church family was a very important part of her life. She was a very strong Christian woman in her faith at Rose Hill Baptist making sure that her family was raised in a strong Christian home. Dian’s favorite Bible verse was Isaiah 41:10.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Jean Forshee; mother-in-law, Betty Mae Hall; brother, Douglas Forshee and his wife, Terry; sister-in-law, Sarah Bears; son, Randy DeRossett and his wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Kathy McRee and her husband, Daniel; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, William Leonard DeRossett; father, Coyne Wendell Forshee; brother, Duane Lynn Forshee; son, Jeremy Alan DeRossett; aunt, JoAnn Sundquist; uncle, Lowell Allen Forshee; father-in-law, William Leon DeRossett; brother-in-law, David DeRossett; stepfather-in-law, Jim Hall; and brother-in-law, Samuel K. Bears.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Rose Hill Baptist Awana Club or Rose Hill Baptist Church in Willard
Memorial services will be held at a later date and there will be no visitation or funeral service.
