Wilda Louise (Mooneyham) Maggard

Wilda Louise (Mooneyham) Maggard, 83, of Walnut Grove, peacefully passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022.
Maggard was born Jan. 30, 1939, in Billings, to Willard and Reathel Mooneyham. In her youth, she spent her days on the family dairy farm with her seven siblings. She went to St. Joe Elementary School in Billings. She carried it into high school at Republic High School, playing volleyball and softball. A few years after graduating, she met the love of her life, Clint Maggard. Clint and Wilda were united in marriage on Dec. 1, 1961.

Maggard retired from St. Johns Hospital after 18 years of service.

Maggard was preceded in death by her husband Clint Maggard, daughter Patricia Maggard, sisters Marilyn Mitchell and Charlotte Rippee, brothers Donnie and Jerry Mooneyham, and a grandson, Gus Dodson.

Maggard is survived by her children Doris and husband Russell Neely, of Dadeville; Rita and husband Steve Dodson, of Walnut Grove; and Tim Maggard of Springfield; sister Velma Mooneyham and brothers John Mooneyham and Ray Dean Mooneyham, 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation was at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 5, at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic. The service followed at 3 p.m., with Pastor Scotty Killingsworth officiating. Burial will be at Wade Chapel Cemetery, Republic.
