WILLIAM THOMAS GREEN

William Thomas Green passed away on Dec. 7, 2023. He was born on June 6, 1932, in Belton, Texas to Elton Green and Gladys Bailey.
While serving for his country in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer, he met the love of his life, Donna. Together they shared 70 wonderful years of marriage and were blessed with three children: Marcus Green, Danny Green and Rami McTavish.
He was a recipient of The Purple Heart after serving in the Korean War. Following his service in the U.S. Army he then re-enlisted in the US Air Force.  After years of service, he retired and the family was then living in Morrisville. They made their final move and settled in Fair Play, where he spent the remainder of his days.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Marcus Green, Dann Green and Rami McTavish; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends and all who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Godfrey; daughter-in-law, Sherri Green; and grandson, Dallas Green.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at Aldrich United Methodist Church in Aldrich. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at the church, with burial at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
