Chris A Upp, 49, passed away on March 15 after a long battle with kidney cancer. He was born Aug. 31, 1973, in Springfield, to Dan A. and Gail Upp, the oldest of three.

Gail Lynne (Steward) Killingsworth, 75 of Walnut Grove passed away on Wednesday, March 15. She was born on May 13, 1947 to Lawrence and Lois (McDonald) Steward in Springfield.
She was a 1965 graduate of Hillcrest High School.

Ruby Dorinda Wright, 65, of Springfield passed away on Wednesday, March 8. She was born Oct. 14, 1957, in Springfield, to Gilbert Leon and Mary (Dill) Bennett.
On July 4, 1986, she married Timothy Wright they were married for over 35 years before he passed away in 2021.

Melanie Barnes Pennington, 47, of Ash Grove passed away on Monday, March 6. She was born Dec. 26, 1975.
There was a brief graveside service on Friday March 10, at Ash Grove Cemetery.

Eula Christine “Chris” Hudson, 99, of Aldrich passed away on Monday, March 6. She was born on March 11, 1923, to Charles and Elsie (Williams) Crook.
On Oct. 26, 1941, she married Keith “Gene” Hudson. They were married for over 77 years before he passed away in 2019.

George E. Dillard, 76, of Springfield passed away on Saturday, March 11. He was born on Jan. 27, 1947, to George W. and Odetta Fox Dillard.
Dillard was a lifelong area resident of the Ash Grove and Bois D’Arc communities. He was also a life member of the VFW in Republic.

Lawrence Wayne Simmons, 74, of Springfield passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023. He was born on Jan. 29, 1949, to Ora and Emma (Sullivan) Simmons. On July 24, 1971, Lawrence and Sandra Hicks were united in marriage and shared over 51 years together.
