Mary Sue Cover, 61, of Ash Grove passed peacefully surrounded by her family, Thursday, Sept. 7, at her mother’s home in Willard. She was born on August 20, 1962, in Toms River, NJ, to Johnnie and Janet (Parker) White.

Helen “Gail” Patton, 79, of Springfield passed away Monday, Aug. 21. She was born Oct. 15, 1943, in Henderson, Tenn., to Earl and Freda Gardner.
On June 11, 1961, Gail and Larry Steeley were married and to this union two sons were born.

Jack Arthur Murphy, 92, of Nixa passed away Aug. 24, in Springfield. He was born in a covered wagon in Culbertson, Neb., to Stuart Robert Murphy and Laura Grace Page on March 14, 1931, the 11th child of a family of 13 children consisting of seven girls and six boys.

Emmagene I. (Payne) Hurd passed away Saturday, Aug. 19, just four days past her 100th birthday. Hurd was born in the hills of the Smoky Mountains near Tellico Plains, Tenn. on Aug. 15, 1923, to Ethel (Evans) Payne and Ulys Payne.

Richard Len Warford, 52, of Republic passed away at his home on Thursday, Aug. 17, after a long battle with multiple illnesses. Warford was born on Oct. 8, 1970, in Modesto, Calif. to Garman and Jeanette (Havner) Warford. He was one of four children in the home.

James “Jimmy” Paschall, 82, of Ash Grove passed away Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2023. He was born on Sept. 1, 1940, to Dayton and Ellen (DeFratus) Paschall in Denison, Texas.
On Sept. 5, 1970, he married Katherine Brandes, they shared almost 45 years together, before her passing in 2015.

Pearl “Jean” Overholser, 94, of Willard passed away on Thursday, Aug. 10. She was born Dec. 13, 1928, to Ralph and Edna Foreman in Troy Mills, Iowa.
She married Bill Overholser on April 3, 1948, and they shared over 35 years together before his passing in 1983.

Harold R. Johnson, 94, passed away on Aug. 19, in his home with his great-granddaughter, Raven “Nikki” Dillard, by his side. He was born June 30,1929 to Othar and Opha Johnson.

Lois “Granny” Gold, 78, of Hurley passed away Wednesday, Aug. 16, with her family by her side. She was born on March 30, 1945, in Hurly, to Earl and Pauline (Wilson) Mitchell and was the youngest of six children in the home.
