The Republic Historical Society has received state-level approval to raise funds for a new museum and event center on Main Street, Republic. The new building, which is also planned to include a full-service coffee shop, will cost just under $4 million.

Ash Grove Fitness, a new full-service gym, opened its doors in June on 123 W. Main St. in the town. The facility hopes to bring the opportunity for physical fitness to citizens who don’t have many options in the way of exercise.

Below are the following Republic High School candidates vying for the queen title at this weekend’s 64th annual Kiwanis Fall Festival held in conjunction with Republic Pumpkin Daze.
The Bois D’Arc Elementary School gym has received repairs following harsh storms in the spring. High wind speeds left heavy damage to the roof, allowing rain to cause water damage to the wooden floors and wooden bleachers.
