ARCHIE W. INGERSON, JR.

Archie W. Ingerson Jr., 81, of Republic passed away on Monday, Feb. 12, 2024.  He was born on March 13, 1942, in Kansas City, Kan., to Archie and Mary Ellen (Sanderson) Ingerson, one of nine children in the home.
He graduated from Mansfield High School with the class of 1960. He went on to attend three years of Baptist Bible College.
On Nov. 6, 1966, he married the love of his life, Cheryl Rogers in Kansas City. She brought a daughter, Michelle, to the marriage and then together they had two sons, Jonathan, and Scott.
He worked as a journeyman fabricator in the steel industry for most of his career and was a longtime member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; sons, Jonathan (Josie) Ingerson and Scott Ingerson; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Suzie, Sarah, Martha, and Sally; brother, Quenton; as well as other extended family and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Tom, Mike and Lewis; stepdaughter, Michelle Cozad; and an infant grandson, Caleb Ingerson.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
