Annual labor, dessert auction fundraiser a big haul for active aggies, chapter
Good news for the Ash Grove FFA Chapter as the community had money to spend at the group’s pie and labor auction the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 17. Not only were there desserts aplenty on the auction block but also labor offered up for bid from the chapter members. In total, 17 lots of two or three FFA’ers working 4-hour shifts were available for purchase. At the end of the night, which also included chili and custard from Culver’s, the club had brought in a whopping $11,236 for their efforts.
“Our program is so appreciative of the support and generosity of our community,” said Ash Grove FFA Advisor Nathan Isakson. “Fundraisers are an essential key to providing exceptional experiences to our community’s greatest resource, its students. It’s humbling to look across the crowd and see the faces of adults that no lounger have a kid in our program—it means the world to have these folks at our events. Their contributions impact students every day. Thank you, Ash Grove.”
