Ash Grove Lady Pirates volleyball team hosts Sarcoxie, travels to Skyline, loses both

The Ash Grove Lady Pirates hosted the Sarcoxie Lady Bears Sept. 20, but lost in straight sets 17-25 and 13-25. Emily Martin led Ash Grove with four digs; Allison Duncan had 11 assists, Kindell Coambes had six kills and Olivia Steimel and Briley Bagley each had one block kill. The Lady Pirates traveled to play the Skyline Lay Tigers on Sept. 18 and came home with a three set loss, 17-25, 25-20 and 21-25. Coambes led with 16 kills and five digs; Kate Hodges had four digs, Duncan and Bagley each had six assists, Martin led with three aces and Khloe Moad, Riley Hammons and Bagley each had one block kill.
