BETTY J. (MOORE) HIGBEE-CLARK

Our dear mother, Betty J. (Moore) Higbee-Clark, sadly passed away on July 26, 2025, at the age of 91 years and 11 months.  She was a wonderful Christian woman who loved her Lord and Savior.
Betty was saved and baptized at the age of 12 years at High Street Baptist Church.  She had the honor of being baptized with her mother and brother.
She was born in Springfield, Missouri, to Wheeler and Fayma Moore, where she grew up with her brother, Benny.  She graduated from Bois D’Arc High School, where she was involved in sports and was also homecoming queen.
Betty was united in marriage to the love of her life, Claude Higbee, in 1952.  They were married for 44 years, until Claude passed away in 1996.  To this union, they had three children: Mike Higbee and wife, Kathy, of Republic; Debbie Cummins and husband, Alvin, of Ozark; and Sandy Dowler and husband, Jim, of Springfield. She is also survived by her grandchildren:  Rob Richter and wife, Suzanne; Shawn McCroskey and wife, Janna; Todd Richter and wife, Brandy; Melissa Reiber and husband, David; and Ashley Jones and husband, Zach.  She also leaves behind 10 great-grandchildren.
In 1999, Betty was united in marriage to Richard Clark, and they were married until Richard passed away in 2025.
Betty took great joy in caring for her children and grandchildren.  She was always there to offer support, wisdom, and an abundance of love.  She will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the First Baptist Church, Ozark, Missouri.  A private burial will be held at a later date.
