BETTY ROSETTA (SALTKILL) STONE

Betty Rosetta (Saltkill) Stone, 94, passed away on Feb. 28, 2024, at the Republic Nursing & Rehab. She was born on March 29, 1929, in Springfield, one of 10 children of Bert and Pearl (King) Saltkill.
She married Freddie Stone on Nov. 15, 1947, and together they had two sons, Bert and Jay.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Bert and Donnis Stone; two grandchildren and their spouses; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her best friend and “sister” Louise King; an adopted “granddaughter” and her children; as well as her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years, Fred; infant son, Jay; her brothers,  John, Bill, and Clyde Saltkill; and sisters, Helen Maples, Herbert Saltkill, Bonnie Coffer, Cora Jean Cantrell, Edna Gooch and Barbara Johnson.
Services were held on Monday, March 4, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial after in Eastlawn Cemetery.
