Beverly Sue Johnson

Beverly Sue Johnson, 86, of Everton, passed away on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025. She was born Oct. 26, 1939, in Everton, to John and Thelma (Martin) Hays. On Nov. 16, 1957, she and Larry Johnson were united in marriage and shared over 47 years together, before Larry’s passing in 2004.
She was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Everton High School in 1957. She lovingly raised her family and worked for Willard School District for over 25 years as a cook. She was creative and enjoyed scrapbooking, crafting, cooking and sewing. She also enjoyed working outside and gardening.
She is survived by daughter, Ronda Clark; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Greta Hays; many nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
She is preceded in death by parents; husband, Larry Johnson; son, Allen Johnson; brother, Martin Hays; son-in-law, Lonnie Clark; and great-grandson, Joseph “Cord” Schletzbaum.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time on Thursday, Nov. 13, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Sinking Creek Cemetery, Everton.  
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Everton Community Church and may be left with the funeral home.
