Bill Wayne Gilmore

Bill Wayne Gilmore, of Republic passed away on Feb. 17, 2026, at the age of 94. He was born on Jan. 5, 1932, in Clever, to Harrison and Bessie (Wilson) Gilmore and was one of three children in the home.
 
Gilmore attended school in Billings. In September of 1954 he married Barbara Inez Ebersold, and this union had two children, Vicki and David. He was a lifelong dairy farmer who enjoyed watching baseball, especially his favorite team, the Baltimore Orioles, and in later years he enjoyed taking trips to the casino. Above all, he loved his family and the time he was able to spend with them.
 
He is survived by his children, Vicki Plunkett and David Gilmore and his wife Diane, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; as well as other extended family and friends.
 
Gilmore is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife Barbara whom he lost in 2007; his two brothers Gene and Haldean and a son-in-law Randy Plunkett.
 
A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2026, in Union Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Lee Miller from First Baptist Church officiating. Services are under the direction of Meadors Funeral Home and online condolences may be made at www.meadorsfuneralhome.com.
