BLANCHE DELORES WISE

Blanche Delores Wise, 86, of Springfield (formerly of Republic) passed away on Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, in Brookline. She was born on Friday, May 28, 1937 in Springfield; the daughter of Emery and Mary Margaret “Alice” (Poynor) Brewer. She was a 1955 graduate of Central High School in Springfield. 
She married Orville” Mac” Morris on June 20, 1955. They had two children together, Lorie and Lendall. They were married for 12 years when he passed away in January 1967, after an extended illness.
She was a “lunch lady” for the Republic School district where she retired.
On June 30, 1971, she married John Wise and gained two more children, Beverly and Teresa.  
She is survived by four children, Lorie (Fred) Klippel of Ashland, Lendall (Shannon) Morris of Brookline, Beverly Johnson of Springfield and Teresa Wise of Springfield; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her best friend, Mary Lou Lakin; and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands, Mac Morris and John Wise; a granddaughter and her husband, Amy (Brian) Tunny; and four siblings, Jack Brewer, Jim Brewer, Helen Illeen Kelly, and Dixie Jean Brewer.
Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Lendall Morris and Pastor Brian Ingalls officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Republic.
Memorials donations may be made to the Republic School Lunch Fund to be used for kids who can not afford lunch.
