Danny R. Comer

Danny R. Comer, 93, of Ash Grove passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025.  He was born May 31, 1932, in Greene County, to Joseph and Lanova (Cotter). On Sept. 22, 1951, he and Helen Jenkins were united in marriage and shared over 74 years together.
He was a worker and had many different jobs throughout his adult life. Some of his favorites were working for the sheriff in Lawrence County, transporting prisoners, and working as a bailiff. He retired as a heating and air mechanic. During many of these years he and Helen also had a 250-acre farm to care for. He enjoyed keeping busy.  
He is survived by his wife, Helen; children, Steve Comer and wife Neva, Brenda Cox and husband Chuck; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and one on the way; other family, and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John, Wayne, Jr., and Bill.
