DAVID HINES MATHIS

David Hines Mathis, 79, of Republic passed away on Oct. 3, 2024. He was born on Jan. 19, 1945, in Morgantown, Ky.; the son of Ray and Nola (Hines) Mathis.
He was a truck driver for over 40 years, having worked for MFA Farm, MFA Feed Mill and then Barnes Feed which eventually became Main Street Feed.
He married Sandra Wilson.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sandra; son, Gerald (Becky) Mathis; threee grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters: Barbara Walker, Ina Stafford and Alice Choate; as well as other extended family and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ray Howard Jr.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Yeakley Chapel Cemetery.
