David Reeves

David Reeves, 74, of Springfield, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
He was born Sunday, Sept. 22, 1946 to Alvin and Mildred (Norton) Reeves in Braggadocio. He was one of nine children in the home.
Reeves graduated from Braggadocio High School in 1965 and went on to attend the College of the Ozarks for four years, graduating in 1969. He married Nancy Graham in 1968 and this union was blessed with three sons, Bryon, Mark and Christopher. Reeves worked for the Secret Service, from 1970-1974, both at the White House and later training new agents. He then served as a Branson Police officer from 1975-1978 before taking a position at the Federal Medical Center in Springfield, from which he retired in 2001.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and seven siblings, Thomas, Dorothy, Jean, Emma Sue, Richard, Donald and Patsy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Nancy of the home, sons; Bryon Reeves and his wife Jeannie of Golden City, David “Mark” Reeves and his wife Tammy of Joplin, and Christopher Reeves and his wife Annette of Clever, 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, a sister Ruth Larmon and her husband Gary as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the College of the Ozarks Alumni Office (P.O. Box 17, Point Lookout, MO 65726). A visitation was scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Thursday,
March 4, 2021 in the chapel at Meadors Funeral Home, Republic.
