DERALD DEAN BRIGANCE

Derald Dean Brigance, 74, of Willard passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, at Cox South Hospital surrounded by family. He was born on Monday, Sept. 26, 1949, in Springfield, one of three children born to Phyllis June Roberts and Keith Dillard Brigance.
He lived in the Springfield/Willard area before moving to Topeka, Kan. in the mid 50’s. He moved back to Willard in the 60’s and graduated from Willard High School in 1968.
Following graduation, he married Linda Bell in the summer of 1968 and to this union two children were born.
He was a member of the AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association) and the Everton Saddle Club.
He is survived by his two children, Shelly Lynn Brigance and Jeffrey Dean Brigance; two sisters, Mary (Terry) Russell and Barbara Young; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; one brother-in- law, John Young; one nephew, Randy Young; and one grandson, Shelby Brigance.
