Doris Jean Gordon

Doris Jean Gordon, 86, of Billings passed away  on Sunday, May 17, 2026. She was born in Powderly, Texas, on Aug. 11, 1939, to Thomas Jefferson Gordon and Gladys Weatheread Gordon. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and her husband Clifton Harold Gordon. 

She adored her husband Cliff, the love of her life, and shared her life with him for 70 years. They lived in several states during their marriage, including many years in the New Orleans area. They settled in Billings in 2002. 

She worked for many years as an office manager for a dental practice in New Orleans. The last of her working years were spent in the office of the Registrar at Missouri State University in Springfield.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her two children, Clifton Wayne (Patty) and Katherine Jayne (Tom). She was grandmother to five grandchildren.

In addition, she leaves behind two sisters, Kay Soule and Trina (Curtis) Stevens, and one brother, Randy (Pam) Babbitt.
