Earl Crawford

Earl Crawford, Jr., 84, Republic, passed away Dec. 14, 2020 at his home surrounded by family. He was born May 25, 1936 in Kansas City, Kan. to Earl and Elsie (Majors) Crawford.He graduated from Southeast High School in Kansas City, as well as, MissouriValley College, Marshall. He served in the U.S. Air Force Security Service, while in the Air Force he completed nine months Russian language training and studied German language at University of Maryland Extension. He then worked as a sales representative for Petroleum Equipment Companies until retiring in 2004.He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Republic.He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Bob Magers and a lifelong best friend, Doug Mattenlee.He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Margie, three children; Steve (Jennifer) Crawford, Lesley (Campbell) Heffermon, and Rick (Amber) Crawford, and 11 grandchildren.A visitation was from 1-2 p.m. Dec. 19, 2020 at Calvary Baptist Church. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. with burial following at Evergreen Cemetery, Republic.
