ESTHER MARIE COLE

Esther Marie Cole, 93, of Battlefield passed away Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024. She was born March 24, 1931, in S. Plainfield, N.J.; the daughter of John and Louise (Orrico) Scarano.
She grew up and attended school in New Brunswick, N.J.; graduating from St. Peters High School.
On June 27, 1953, she was united in marriage to William H. Cole, they were married for almost 64 years when he passed away on April 12, 2017.
She and her family moved to Cassville in 1973. She was employed by Roaring River Restaurant as a hostess and waitress for 25 years (1973-1998) until she retired.
She is survived by her sons, Bill Cole and Bob (Cassandra) Cole all of Battlefield; one daughter, Patty (Greg) Henderson of Monett; a half-brother, John Scarano of Oakland, Calif. and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; her parents; and her sister, Gloria Ciminieri.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at St. Edward Catholic Church in Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home. Father William Hodgson will conduct the services. Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield.
