Gary Ernest Volland

Gary Ernest Volland, 83, of Billings, passed away Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021
surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Friday, Oct. 22, 1937 to Henry
and Leone (Ford) Volland in Kansas City. He was one of three children in the
home.
Volland graduated from high school and enlisted in the US Air Force where he
honorably served for four years.
Volland married the love of his life, Bonnie Swearengin, on April 13, 1963. This
union was blessed with three children, Jeannete, Gregory and Cynthia. Gary was
known by many from his years at Git-N-Go and later as a business forms
salesman. He was a longtime member at Marionville Assembly of God Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Jeannete, one brother,
Charles, and one sister, Cozanne.
He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie of the home, a son, Gregory Volland and
his wife Tammy of Billings, a daughter, Cynthia Morton of Republic, four
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews and other
extended family and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Volland’s name to
Marionville Assembly of God (701 Collier St, Marionville, MO 65705). A visitation
was from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021 in the chapel at Meadors Funeral
Home, 314 N Main Ave, Republic. A celebration of life was held at Marionville
Assembly of God on Saturday, March 6, 2021. Burial will take place privately at
Mt. Olive Cemetery, McKinley, with full military honors.
