HARRY “RUSTY” COOPER

Harry “Rusty” Cooper, 74, of Republic passed away on Sept. 20, 2024.  He was born in Springfield on Nov. 16, 1949, one of four children born to Oliver “Bill” and Lucille (Gilbert) Cooper.
He graduated from Hillcrest High School with the class of 1967.
On Sept. 30, 1984, he married Gayle, and they shared 40 years together.
He was a member of the Hope Lutheran Family.
He is survived by his wife, Gayle; his son, Courtney Cooper (Julie McDonald); daughters, Stephanie (Brian) Leake and Bailey (Greg) Hornback; four grandchildren; siblings, Gary (Tonda) Cooper and Chuck (Lyn) Cooper; as well as other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bill Cooper.
A memorial visitation was held on Monday, Sept. 23, at Hope Lutheran Church, a celebration of life followed.
