Helen May (Willison) Viera

Helen May (Willison) Viera, 74, of Ash Grove passed away Feb. 22, 2021 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield.
She was born Feb. 7, 1947 in Hutchinson, Kan. to John Everett and Marie (Dick) Willison.
She graduated from Buhler Rural High School, Buhler, Kan. in 1965, Park College, Parkville and New Mexico State University Las Cruces, N.M.
She and William (Bill) Viera were married Dec. 18, 1989 and shared 33 years together. She was a member of the Ash Grove United Methodist Presbyterian Church.
She worked her entire adult life. She did marketing, recruiting and counseling. She was last employed as director of operations for Metropolitan Lutheran Ministries, Kansas City.
She is survived by her husband; daughters, Marie Peterson, Colorado Springs, Colo., Maria Ingold, London, England and brother, John Willison.
She was cremated under direction of Birch Funeral Home of Ash Grove. Her husband took her ashes to New Mexican Mountains.
