IRA OREN FEES
Ira Oren Fees, 89, of Halltown passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
He was born Oct. 9, 1934, to AE Ted Fees and Edith Fay (Stewart) Fees at the family farm south of Halltown. He was the seventh of nine children.
He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1952. Soon after, he moved to St. Louis where he met and married the love of his life, Sue (Noel) Fees, on Aug. 30, 1958.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Republic for nearly 60 years, singing in the choir and a gospel quartet. He was employed by Paul Mueller Co. for 42 years as a welder and Product Development Manager.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sue; their five children and spouses: Louis (Jana) Fees of Springfield, Sharon (Rick) Borgard of Ozark, Gary Fees of Republic, Mark Fees of Springfield, and Becky (Chris) Bolick of Rogersville; 15 grandchildren and their spouses, nine great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; and many beloved nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Earl Fees, Gerald Fees, Delbert Fees, and Ted Fees; and four sisters: Mary Frances Rodgers, Betty Potts, Virginia Fees and Ruth Hoschar.
Funeral services were held on Monday, March 25, at Calvary Baptist Church, under the direction of Meadors Funeral Home. Burial was at Rock Prairie Cemetery in Halltown.
