JERRY LEE MCCARTY

Jerry Lee McCarty, 82, of Republic passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024. He was born on June 4, 1941, in Dennison, Texas, to Dale and Edna (Oler) McCarty.
He graduated Republic High School and on October 30, 1964, married Esther Worthy. Together they raised four sons on their dairy farm in Republic.
He attended basic training in Fort Leonard Wood and served his country in the National Guard Reserves.
He is survived by his sons, Bob (Ronda) McCarty, John (Stacy) McCarty and  Edward McCarty; nine grandchildren; and a herd of great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther; his parents; his sister, Virginia (Max) Norman; and son, Jim.
A visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 22, in Yeakley Cemetery in Bois D’Arc, with Pastor Austin Miesner officiating.
