Jordan Valley Community Health Center officially opened its all new 15,000-square-foot clinic in Republic Monday, April 24. The clinic is located at 649 E. Elm Street—behind Taco Bell—and will allow for expanded medical, dental and vision services for the community.
“Since 2014, when we opened our first clinic in Republic, we have provided more than 90,000 patient visits and have expanded three times," said Brooks Miller, Jordan Valley President/CEO. "In Jordan Valley’s 20 years as an organization, we have continued to grow to meet the needs of our community, and we are so excited to be opening a brand new, freestanding, 15,000-square-foot clinic on Monday. Republic is a fast-growing community, and we are happy to be a part of its growth,”
The Republic Clinic is home to 21 exam rooms, three dental providers, three medical providers, one behavioral health provider, and a new optometrist. Jordan Valley will be able to provide more than 15,000 visits a year in the new clinic.

Health Department’s WIC program relocates Republic office
Relocating to Republic's newest medical clinic is Springfield-Greene County Health’s Women, Infants & Children (WIC) program. The former WIC office in Republic was located on Harrison Street. It has now closed.
The Republic WIC office is a full-service WIC location offering food package benefits, nutrition education, breastfeeding support and other services. Other WIC locations include two full-service offices in Springfield (1720 W Grand St. and 2105 W Kearney St.) and five satellite locations for eWIC benefits open one day a week:
- Missouri Career Center (2900 E Sunshine St.);
- Renew United Methodist in Willard (304 S Farmer Rd.);
- Westside Public Health Center (660 S Scenic Ave.);
- St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (2200 W Republic Rd.);
- O’Reilly Center for Hope (1518 E Dale St.).

WIC’s mission is to safeguard the health of women, infants and children who are at nutritional risk by providing nutritious foods to enhance diets, information on healthy eating and referrals to health care and other community resources.
WIC services are provided to eligible women who are pregnant, breastfeeding and/or post-partum mothers, as well as infants and children up to the age of five. The income eligibility threshold is 185% of the federal poverty level. For a family of three, that currently equates to an annual gross household income of about $42,606. For a family of four, the threshold is $51,338.
