Karen J. Spencer Herren

Karen J. Spencer Herren, 60, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026. She was born Oct. 17, 1965, in Springfield, to Richard Harold and Oma Grace (Ware) Spencer.

She worked as a medication technician and certified nursing assistant in Springfield. She generously gave her time at Cox North Hospital, participated in her church's puppet ministry and food pantry, and enjoyed serving as a camp counselor at the special-needs camp in El Dorado Springs. She was a faithful member of Praise Fellowship in Springfield.

She is survived by her siblings, Mike Spencer and wife Krisiti, Sharon Long and husband Terry. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Grace Spencer.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time, Wednesday, July 1,  at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Celebration of Life services will begin at 11 a.m., at the funeral home. In honor of her bright and quirky personality, the family requests that you wear your bright outfit to celebrate her on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Praise Fellowship, Springfield, MO and may be left with the funeral home.
