Kevin Hurst

Kevin Hurst was a very good man who helped many people in his own quiet way. He loved his boys, his life, and his yard. When he was a boy and someone was moving away from Lawrenceburg, he said, "Why would anybody want to leave Lawrenceburg?"
Not long ago, he said "Why would anyone want to leave here--this is nirvana."
He left Lawrenceburg doing what he loved--working on his yard.
Hurst is survived by his wife of 39 years, Beth, whose mother once said Beth couldn't form a sentence without the word Kevin in it.
Hurst is also survived by his sons who looked up to him so much, Joe Bailey Hurst, Springfield and John Thomas Hurst, Lawrenceburg; a sister and her husband, Linda and Dan Ditzler, Mt. Vernon; a brother and his wife, Kent and Melody Hurst, Lawrenceburg; and many nieces and nephews he enjoyed.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joe Allison Hurst and Eloise Campbell Hurst, and his brothers Joe Quinn Hurst and Brent Hurst.
Due to the pandemic, the family will have a private graveside service at Johns Chapel Cemetery.
