Lavish Sound holds open house

Lavish Sound, a sound bath studio in Republic, held an open house on Thursday, July 17 to allow area residents to experience what the studio has to offer. Owner Mary Jo Morris described sound baths as a "massage for your soul." She said people can come in and lay on a yoga mat, sit on an aerial hammock, or a gravity chair. The process, also called sound healing, is supposed to offer health benefits such as reduced stress, improved sleep, pain relief and more. Lavish Sound offers group and private sessions, as well as public sessions.
