Linda Lou Fiedler

Linda Lou Fiedler, 81, of Republic passed away on Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, at Springfield Villa, in Springfield. She was born Aug. 26, 1944, in Aurora, Ill., the daughter of Herman Arthur and Clara Celestia (Trent) Hanson.
She attended West Aurora High School in Aurora, Ill., and worked as a hotel manager. She and her husband, Melvin, helped with serving at missions in Springfield and was a member of the Brookline Baptist Church.
On Nov. 14, 1998, she married Melvin Leigh Fiedler, in Glendale, Ariz. He preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 2025.
She is survived by three daughters, Denise Smith and her husband, Mark, of Marcellus, N.Y.; Melissa Johnson-Jenkins (Barth), of Missouri; and Megan Randino of Marcellus, N.Y.; two sons, Craig Belinski of Tucson, Ariz. and Christopher Belinski and his wife, Michelle, of Bremerton, Wash.; one stepson, Christopher Fiedler of North Carolina; two stepdaughters, Rebecca Fiedler and Melissa Wallace, both of New York and 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Clara; one sister, Dorry Lemmer and two brothers, Donald and Richard Hanson.
No services are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
