MARY E. STEINMANN

Mary E. Steinmann, 85, of Billings passed away on March 20, 2024, at her home. She was born in Sioux Falls, S.D. on Sept. 7, 1938, to Archie and Laverna (Lemery) Van Sickle, the third of 12 children in the home.
She graduated from Frankford High School in Frankford with the class of 1956. On Oct. 15, 1960, she married the love of her life, Herman Steinmann.
She worked as an office clerk with General Electric in Springfield for over 30 years. She had a strong faith and was a very Godly woman, having been a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Billings since 1972. She served on the church board for many years and was also an active member with the Christian County Coalition for Aging.
She is survived by her husband of almost 64 years, Herman; sons, Dave (Yongmi) Steinmann and Todd (Michele) Steinmann; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Helen, Hazel Jean, Rose, Archie, Virginia, Viola, Joyce and Harold; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and three siblings Dwyane, Floyd and Eddie.

Visitation and funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 25, at St. Peter’s UCC in Billings with Pastor Brittany Scaringello officiating. Burial followed in St. Peter’s Evangelical Cemetery in Billings.
