MERYL CLAIRE BRUNER
Meryl Claire Bruner, 66, of Queens, N.Y., then Los Angeles, Calif., Baton Rouge, La., Seattle, Wash., Boston, Mass., Atlanta, Ga., and Las Vegas, Nev. passed away on July 15, 2024. She was born to Alex and Rose Perl (Kanner) on March 14, 1958, in New York City.
She married Michael Bruner on Oct. 21, 1984, and they shared 43 years together.
She became a CPA after graduating from college.
She was preceded in death by her parents; some of her grandparents and much of her distant family who were victims of the Holocaust.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; her brother, Richard (Grace) Perl; and numerous cousins.
A celebration of life and spirit will occur on Sunday, Sept. 22, at 425 Downtown located at 425 W. Walnut Street in Springfield. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and dinner and commemoration from 1-3 p.m., followed by conversation with open bar thereafter. Parking is directly across the street. All friends and family are most welcome, and all are encouraged to share memories of her if they’d like.
