Ned West

Ned West, 87, Republic, passed away on Nov. 24, 2020. He was born April 30,1933 to Alba and Mildred (Tompkins) West in Republic. He graduated from Republic High School in 1951, and he went on to serve his country in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He worked at Lily Tulip for many years, as well as farmed in west Greene County. He married Jenny Neeley in 1964. He was saved at an early age at First Baptist Church, Republic. West was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Jenny, brother Fred and stepson Rodney Neeley. He is survived by his brother Larry West; sister, Charlotte Earp; grandson Bill (Stacey) Ferrell; stepdaughter, Doris Lester; great-grandson Lane Ferrell, as well as extended family and friends.A visitation was from 10-11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2020 in Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, with funeral services following at 11 a.m. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
