Location will sit along U.S. 60 between Aldi’s, Arby’s

As Republic’s booming growth continues, yet another national chain plans to open a location in the city. Burger King has issued a permit to open a restaurant at 1358 US Highway 60 East, between Aldi’s and Arby’s. When it is built, the new Burger King restaurant will measure 3,109 square feet. As of press time, no information was available as to when construction on the new restaurant would begin.
Jennafer Mayfield, the interim public information officer for the city, confirmed that Burger King would be opening a location in Republic. She said the city’s booming economic surge was most likely responsible for convincing the chain to open a location in Republic.
“Republic is seeing tremendous growth and overall interest in our community,” she said. “With that growth comes the need for additional businesses to serve those that live, work, and play in Republic.”
Mayfield added that Burger King would be a welcome addition to the many businesses that have invested in the city.
“Every business contributes to the overall growth and attractiveness of the city of Republic,” she said. “The more investment we see in our community, the more appealing it becomes for other businesses and residents to make Republic their home.”
A media inquiry sent to the Burger King corporate office had received no response as of press time. Republic residents can monitor the progress of the new Burger King location with the Major Project Tracker page on the city’s website at www.republicmo.com/571/Major-Project-Tracker.
This is the second Burger King to reside in Republic, however, the first go round was in west Republic and closed several years ago.
