PATSY ANN COOPER

Patsy Ann Cooper, 90, of Republic passed away on   Jan. 6, 2024. She was born on Aug. 10, 1933, in St. Louis, the middle of three children born to Albert and Mildred (Kemp) Hale.
She graduated from Buchanan High School, where she met the love of her life, Merrell Cooper. They were married on Nov. 4, 1951, and were blessed with two children, Debra and Michael.
She was an active member of Calvary Temple/Park Crest Assembly of God Church for over 50 years and was part of the Ladies Midweek Prayer Group as well as helping with church dinners. She was also a Special Aide Assistant at Campbell Elementary School in Springfield for many years.
She is survived by her children, Debra (Randy) Corner and Michael Cooper; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Merrell; and two siblings, Billie Burk and Alan Hale.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Jan. 11, with burial after at Lindsey Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to The Alzheimer’s Association or to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
