PATSY JOAN “JOBIE” STEELEY

Patsy Joan “Jobie” Steeley, 90, of Everton passed away on Friday, Jan. 26, 2024. She was born Nov. 21, 1933, to Clyde and Anita (Poindexter) Jones in Everton.
On Dec. 23, 1951, she married Sanford Steeley and they shared 48 years together before he passed away in 2000.
She was a lifelong area resident and active in Antioch Christian Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She loved music and was part of Friends of Music and in a trio.
She is survived by her children, Roger (Suzanne) Steeley, Terry (Betty) Steeley, Rebecca (Jeff) Rooks; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Betty Jones and Peggy Jones; brothers-in-law, Larry (Ellie) Steeley and Dwight (Jeanie) Steeley; sister-in-law, Ann (Jerry) Glenn; close cousin, Marilyn Fluty; nieces; nephews; other family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sanford; a still born baby, Sara Beth on Sept. 4, 1961; and a granddaughter, Sarah Beth.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home in Ash Grove. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 2,  at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Antioch Cemetery.
