People Helping People to reopen Clothing Closet, food distribution continues in Republic

People Helping People, Republic, is now accepting clothing donations from the public, and will have a modified reopening to distribute clothing starting on May 4. If you have donations, drop-off clothing and small household items at the side door on Tuesdays between 9-11:45 a.m. If you need clothing, come to the front doors for check-in during the same hours. Clothing is always free, and so is a food basket. Available once a month per family, each basket includes dairy products, meat, canned goods, dry goods, toiletries and paper products.
For community health, the reopening will have CDC recommended modifications: masks will be required to enter the building and the number of occupants will be limited.
If you need food or clothing, and live in the Republic school district, stop by for some friendly assistance. If you are new to the programs, bring Social Security cards for each member of your household, and a current utility bill for
proof of residency.
PHP would also like to thank the community for the continued donations that allow them to recycle kindness and help those in need.
